The headline fixture of the upcoming gameweek is set to play out at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, on Friday night.

The matchup in question will see Barcelona act as hosts, in a meeting with Sevilla.

The former will head into proceedings eyeing a return to winning ways, after losing ground on surprise early-season table-toppers Girona owing to a 2-2 stalemate with Mallorca.

With a tricky trip to Portugal to face Porto lying in wait, though, Xavi Hernandez will likely be forced to rotate his squad.

Turning attentions towards Friday’s visitors, Sevilla, too, have European commitments next week, when they will make their way to the Netherlands for a showdown with PSV Eindhoven.

The Andalusian giants, though, will first head to Catalunya, boosted by a timely return to form of late.

Last time out, Jose Mendilibar’s men put five past Almeria, to continue their climb towards mid-table in La Liga.

The matchup will be part of Gameweek 411 on Sorare Football, and 101 Great Goals has broken down the key statistical takeaways ahead of the game.

Barcelona vs Sevilla Sorare tips

Barcelona

Raphinha

After seeing his name take its place centre stage in the media once more this past summer, Raphinha has since put the speculation surrounding his future firmly to bed, to reestablish himself as a key member of boss Xavi’s squad. Across his last four appearances, the former Leeds United standout has directly contributed to four goals, by way of a pair of goals, and a pair of assists. His showing at Mallorca in midweek proved particularly impressive, with Raphinha’s direct hand in both of Barca’s goals on the night having given rise to a hefty Sorare score of 92.

Joao Felix

Another key member of the attacking ranks in Catalunya, Joao Felix has taken to life in Blaugrana colours like a duck to water. The Portuguese has added a completely new dynamic to Barcelona’s frontline, dove-tailing gorgeously with the more advanced Robert Lewandowski. All told, his four starts to date have given rise to three goals and two assists, with Felix expected to be thrown in from the off once more against Sevilla. The 23-year-old, looking completely rejuvenated, is beginning to look like something of a Sorare must-have.

Joao Cancelo

The 2nd Joao to have made his way to Catalunya’s capital over the summer, Cancelo looks an equally game-changing addition to Xavi’s squad. With right-back having long been considered something of a weak spot at Barcelona, the Manchester City loanee has already gone about making the position his own, adding some long overdue dynamism and flair to the role. Successive recent Sorare scores of 88, 79 and a perfect 100 speak for themselves, with Cancelo a more than worthy addition for the upcoming round of fixtures in Spain’s top-flight.

Sevilla

Suso

Turning attentions towards Friday’s visitors, Suso will be hopeful of following up a first goal of the campaign last time out with another later tonight. The former AC Milan man has endured a largely hit-and-miss term to date, not at all aided by Sevilla’s collective struggles. He will have gained some much-needed confidence courtesy of a goal and Man of the Match display against Almeria earlier in the week, though, with Barcelona’s openness at the back likely to provide plenty of opportunities for Suso to make use of his trusty left foot in and around the penalty area.

Youssef En-Nesyri

Another to have endured both highs and lows over the season’s early weeks, En-Nesyri kicked things into gear in fine fashion, courtesy of goals in each of his first two appearances in 2023/24. A five-game scoreless streak followed, only for the Moroccan to get things back on track against the aforementioned Almeria, by way of his third of the term. Always a threat in the final third, En-Nesyri will likely be thrown in from the off once more against Barca, desperate as ever to add to his goalscoring tally.

Djibril Sow

Yet another to have taken advantage of Sevilla’s rampant showing in midweek to add to his stats haul for the season, Sow bagged his first assist of the term against Almeria, to cap a solid performance in the middle of the park. The 26-year-old has been in and out of boss Mendilibar’s starting XI, but has proven his worth over recent weeks, likely doing enough to earn a fourth start in five at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the process. A less glamorous, but potentially fruitful Sorare pickup.
