The headline fixture of the upcoming gameweek in Ligue 1 is set to play out at the Stade Louis II on Saturday, September 30th.

The matchup in question will see AS Monaco act as hosts, in a meeting with Olympique de Marseille.

The two sides will head into proceedings separated by just two points in the table, amid largely hit-and-miss respective openings to the new campaign.

Monaco, for their part, sit 4th, despite a heartbreaking last-gasp defeat in the Derby de la Côte d’Azur last time out.

Marseille, meanwhile, are four places back, having made it four without victory across all competitions by way of a Derby day defeat of their own last weekend, at champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The matchup will be part of Gameweek 411 on Sorare Football, and 101 Great Goals has broken down the key statistical takeaways ahead of the game.

AS Monaco vs Olympique de Marseille Sorare tips

AS Monaco

Folarin Balogun

Folarin Balogun will head into Saturday’s action in the principality desperate for a bounce-back individual display. This comes after the big-money summer arrival at Monaco was directly responsible for the club’s defeat to Nice last time out. Remarkably, Balogun fluffed his lines from the penalty spot not once, but twice, on his way to a measly Sorare score of just 18 points. Fresh off goals in each of his prior two appearances, though, expect the former Arsenal man to put his spot-kick woes firmly behind him against Marseille.

Caio Henrique

One of the unsung heroes in Adi Hutter’s squad, Caio Henrique has enjoyed a stellar opening to the new campaign. A constant threat from his role at left wing-back, the Brazilian has notched four assists across starts in all six of Monaco’s league outings. Such impressive exploits have given rise to early-season Sorare scores the likes of 67, 84, 91, and a hefty 97, en route to Man of the Match honours against Lens. A hugely underrated potential pickup for the coming weekend.

Takumi Minamino

Another to have enjoyed a superb season to date on the French Riviera, Takumi Minamino has put a difficult stint in England firmly behind him, to establish himself as something of a fan favourite at Monaco. Like Henrique, the Japanese international has featured from the off in each of the club’s six Ligue 1 fixtures. And, along the way, he has directed contributed to a head-turning six goals. Minamino has failed to add to his tally in either of his last two appearances, but expect the attacker to be back amongst the goals very soon, with Marseille a potential victim along the way.

Olympique de Marseille

Jonathan Clauss

Turning attentions towards Saturday’s visitors, Jonathan Clauss has continued to act as one of Marseille’s star performers over the early weeks of the new campaign. Though he is yet to explode into the kind of attacking form which gave rise to a combined 27 Ligue 1 goal contributions across the last two seasons, the 31-year-old has nevertheless performed to an elite level on numerous occasions thus far. Such exploits have given rise to Sorare scores of 93, 97, and even a perfect 100, making Clauss a shrewd addition to any team.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Turning attentions towards attack, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has stood as Marseille’s chief goalscoring threat to start the term. All told, across eight starts in all competitions to date, the former Arsenal man has directly contributed to a none-too-shabby five goals. Two such strikes came in the Europa League last week, when Aubameyang brought to an end a five-game scoreless streak to help OM to an opening day share of the spoils with Dutch giants Ajax. Certainly one to keep an eye on this weekend.

Renan Lodi

Last up comes another summer arrival at the Stade Velodrome, in the form of Renan Lodi. Like the aforementioned Aubameyang, full-back Lodi has quickly gone about establishing himself as an undisputed starter in his debut campaign in OM colours. In fact, across the club’s nine outings to date, he has featured for all but ten minutes. Don’t let the Brazilian’s hit-and-miss Sorare numbers to date scare you off just yet. He remains a dependable presence, who, once Marseille (presumably) hit their stride, should prove a solid weekly scorer.
