Fourth meets fifth this weekend in arguably the biggest Bundesliga game of the weekend this Saturday afternoon with the Signal Iduna Park set to play hosts to Borussia Dortmund and Freiburg in a must-win game.
After a terrible run of form from Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga since action resumed in Germany, the title race has now been blown right open and sides as low as sixth in the German top flight are suddenly right in the mixer.
Dortmund currently sit fourth in the table after a fantastic three-game winning run since the World Cup. This started with an incredible 4-3 win over Augsburg at home where Jude Bellingham starred with a magnificent goal and Player of the Match display.
Further wins over Mainz and Bayer Leverkusen have put the club in fourth and behind Bayern by just three point in the table with them now winning one more game with 11 compared to the league leader’s 10.
Freiburg have moved on quite well since their stunning 6-0 loss away from home to Wolfsburg on the returning game in the Bundesliga. A 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt came soon after to reignite their hopes for Europe.
Last time out, they beat Augsburg with ease in a 3-1 win.
