This article provides betting tips information for FC Kobenhavn vs Manchester City in UEFA Champions League on Tuesday 11 October 2022.

Match preview

After disposing of the same opponents 5-0 last week in the reverse fixture and then easing past Southampton 4-0, Manchester City have hit nine unanswered goals in the space of five days to make it six on the bounce.

City had proved vulnerable at the back in the early part of the season, conceding seven goals in eight games – lofty by their standards – but have responded with three clean sheets in their last four fixtures, all while rotating at the back and look an intimidating prospect.

Even without the goals of Haaland – he hit just the one goal against Southampton having hit back-to-back Premier League home hat-tricks – they are scoring for fun, with 18 goals in their last four matches and players like Phil Foden enjoying a fine run of form in front of goal, while Riyad Mahrez has shown his class with goals in successive games and Julian Alvarez was also on the score sheet.

Pep Guardiola has plenty of options to choose from and his team sit pretty on top of Group G with a perfect record, three points clear of Borussia Dortmund and eight clear of Sevilla. A win in Copenhagen will be enough to put them through to the knockout rounds, but it would be no surprise to see him rotate his squad once again and still have enough to get past Jacob Neestrup’s side.

For their part FC Kobenhavn got what they expected last week and followed it up with a 1-1 draw at home to Nordsjaelland. Despite their opponents sitting third in the league, it was another missed opportunity to win for the defending Superliga champions who are down in eighth place.
