Match preview: Juventus vs Villarreal CF

Juventus vs Villarreal is very finely poised heading into the second-leg following a 1-1 draw in Spain.

Vlahović’s first Champions League goal was cancelled out by Dani Parejo’s second-half strike.

In Serie A, Juve are starting to make their way back into the title race.

Allegri’s team are now just seven points off top spot following a run of 14 games unbeaten.

Villarreal

Villarreal have been in mixed form in La Liga having won twice and lost once in their last three games.

The Yellow Submarine produced an impressive display in the first-leg as they secured a draw at Estadio de la Cerámica.

Unai Emery’s side have suffered some key injuries this season which includes their main man Gerrard Moreno.

Juventus team news

Giorgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala are both hopeful of returning to action on Wednesday.

Leonardo Bonucci, Denis Zakaria, Federico Chiesa, Kaio Jorge and Weston McKennie all remain sidelined.

Villarreal CF team news

Raul Albiol is a doubt for the trip to Turin after picking up a knock on the weekend.

He joins Gerard Moreno, Etienne Capoue, Juan Foyth, Ruben Pena, Paco Alcacer and Alberto Moreno on the sidelines.
