Match preview: Barnsley vs Preston North End

Barnsley’s fate has already been sealed with the Tykes relegated to League One.

Five defeats in their last seven matches leave them bottom of the table and 11 points adrift of safety.

Their last three games have seen them suffer defeats in each of them having lost to Blackpool, Huddersfield and Peterborough.

Poya Asbaghi’s side were beaten 2-0 at home by Blackpool in their last match.

Preston North End suffer back to back defeats

Preston North End have suffered back to back defeats which has dealt a blow to their top half hopes.

The Lilywhites have now dropped into 16th place although they are still just three points off 12th.

They were well beaten in their last outing as they lost 4-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Ryan Lowe’s side were also beaten 3-0 by Fulham to make it four defeats in their last seven matches.
