Millwall find themselves in a poor run of form with four defeats and one win from their last five Championship outings. Gary Rowett will know that has to turn around if they are to reach the target of a playoff spot, which was the aim prior to the season starting after a very strong 2021/22 campaign. He will be glad his side is at home for this one with all three of Millwall’s wins this season coming at the Den.
However last time out being at home did not help them, as an injury-stricken QPR beat them 2-0 on their own turf. They will be looking to rectify that at the weekend and do enter the clash against Blackpool as strong favourites with bookies pricing the home win at 1/1.
The Tangerines have also struggled recently, with just one win, two defeats and two draws in their last five matches. Last time out saw them take a heavy 3-0 beating at the hands of Rotherham, which was by far their biggest defeat of the season and something Michael Appleton will want to rectify immediately.
They will be hoping for more from their forwards, with talisman Jerry Yates scoring just twice so far this campaign. Given their relatively poor away record so far this season and Milwall being better at home, Blackpool go into this one as outsiders to take all three points. Bookies are pricing the away win at odds of 13/5.
