After a handsome victory at Røkkeløkka last Thursday, Molde are firmly in control of this tie.
It was actually Elfsborg who struck first in Norway, taking an early lead through Rasmus Alm.
However, a quartet of second half goals from Markus André Kaasa, Kristoffer Haugen, Emil Breivik and Sivert Mannsverk secured an emphatic home win.
Molde were always heavy favourites to progress having qualified for three Europa League group stages in the last decade.
Two seasons ago, they got all the way to the round of 16 where Granada ended their best-ever continental escapade.
Last season, Erling Moe’s men beat Servette in this round before falling to Trabzonspor immediately after.
Elfsborg meanwhile have qualified for two group phases, doing so in 2007 and 2013.
Last season, they overcame Milsami Orhei and Velež Mostar, before losing to eventual runners-up Feyenoord in the play-offs.
However, baring a remarkable comeback in Sweden, the Yellow-Blacks are set to fall at the first hurdle.
Molde can surely look forward to a Europa Conference League third qualifying round clash with Kisvárda or Kairat.
