Promoted Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest may have finally settled to life back in the top flight of English football this season after the City Ground outfit climbed out of the bottom three amid a decent run of form in their last six league fixtures while posting point hauls on four occasions (2-2-2).

Forest still struggles for goals, however, with their total of 13 coming in as the second-worst scoring side in the league, with only Wolves finding the back of the net on fewer occasions. But Steve Cooper seems to have righted the ship enough of late to offer a potential springboard for further improvement in the wake of the extended international break. Given the poor run of form of visiting Leicester City, Forest could find themselves climbing to thirteenth in the table should they secure all three points tomorrow in conjunction with a Leeds United loss later today.

Predicted Nottingham Forest XI

Nottingham Forest Team News

  • Giulian Biancone, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Omar Richards, Moussa Niakhaté, Jesse Lingard, and Willy Boly (out)
  • Taiwo Awoniyi, and Neco Williams (doubt)

Steve Cooper will be made to contend with a considerable casualty list when Nottingham Forest welcomes Leicester City to the City Ground tomorrow, with Giulian Biancone, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Omar Richards, Moussa Niakhaté, Jesse Lingard, and Willy Boly all on the treatment table, with Boly the latest to add his name to the list after having to come off in the club’s recent 1-1 draw in the Carabao Cup.

The Forest boss may be able to welcome back striker Taiwo Awoniyi and defender Nico Williams, however, which would be a massive boost to a currently thinned-out senior squad for what will be a key mid-season test for Cooper’s men.
