The Miller’s have taken to life back in the Championship much better than expected, with just one loss so far this season. There have been some impressive performances along the way with a 4-0 thrashing of Reading being a highlight. Last time out though, they were held to a stalemate by struggling Middlesbrough and were largely outplayed during the encounter, something which may slightly concern Paul Warne.
He will be glad that they return to home soil for this weekend’s encounter though, with Rotherham averaging 2.2 goals per game at the New York Stadium and conceding just 0.4. That’s why they enter this clash as strong favourites with bookies pricing the home win at just 5/4.
Opponents Wigan have also enjoyed a decent start to life back in the second tier following promotion last season. While they have not been quite as good as Rotherham, the Latics currently sit 12th with thirteen points from nine league outings. Leam Richardson will be desperate to maintain this sort of points return until the end of the season and shake off the ‘yoyo club’ reputation they have gained over the last few seasons.

But they do go into this one as outsiders with bookies pricing the away win at 19/10.
