The league leaders will play hosts to one of League Two’s biggest underperformers this weekend as Leyton Orient invite Sutton United to the Breyer Group Stadium as 22 points and 15 places in the table separate the two sides.
Orient have managed to put together 15 wins from just 20 games in League Two this season. Better yet, they are already ahead of second-placed Stevenage ahead of this weekend’s battle with Sutton and have a game in hand over them too. Should they get all three points in that game, they could be seven clear at the top before the halfway stage in the league campaign.
Orient managed to ease past Bradford City last time out by scoring three times through Charlie Kelman, Thomas James and Ruel Sotiriou.
As for Sutton, they are down in 16th after finishing eighth in their League Two debut last campaign. In fact, the club have only won seven times from 21 outings and let in a worrying 26 goals. Worse yet, with 19 scored of their own, only those in the bottom four relegation zones and Crewe in 17th have scored fewer in the league.
Sutton did get back into the win column last weekend after two games without a win. The club edged past strugglers Colchester United 1-0, which also saw them make a gap of 11 points on the relegation spots.
