Match preview

Having picked up the Supercopa de España on Sunday night, will Barcelona remain on course to win four trophies this season?

Last week, Barça claimed their first Supercopa in five years, first needing penalties to overcome Real Betis in the semi-finals.

Robert Lewandowski and then Ansu Fati both had them in front in that tie, but Marc-André ter Stegen was ultimately the shootout hero.

Then, on Sunday night, the Blaugrana put in, arguably, their best performance under Xavi, swatting aside Real Madrid in the final.

Gavi, Lewandowski and Pedri were all on target in Riyadh, as Barça captured the first silverware of the season.

Elsewhere, they’re three points clear at the top of La Liga, and are amongst the favourites to win the Europa League, despite being up against in-form Manchester United next month.

That’s because, 15 days ago, they were taken to extra time by Intercity, eventually winning 4-3, with Ronald Araújo, Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha and Ansu the scorers.

Will this tie prove to be equally as tricky?

As mentioned, Ceuta are from Primera Federación, having won promotion last season, sat rock bottom of Group 1.

In the Copa del Rey, this is Cueta’s best-ever run, previously falling in the last 32 against Racing Santander in 1979 and Barcelona 12 years ago.

To get here, José Juan Romero’s side have seen off Utrera, Ibiza and Elche, and have been rewarded with this glamour tie.

Will Barcelona leave Estadio Alfonso Murube unscathed?
