Match preview
Two sides right by one another in the League Two table will meet in arguably the biggest game of the season for both Rochdale and Harrogate Town as only one point separates the two inside the bottom half right now.
It’s already been another season to forget for both sides this campaign and Rochdale, just like last season, are set to fight relegation all year long unless things change. They have four wins and 12 defeats in the division already, and no side has lost more games than them.
The club have also scored just 13 goals this season, meaning they are one of the worst scorers in League Two, with only Gillingham down in 23rd netting fewer goals. Worse yet for Rochdale, they are the fifth-worst defensive side in the fourth tier as well, and a loss here and a win for either Colchester United or Gillingham will send them deeper into the relegation zone.
As for Harrogate, they are just one point clear of Rochdale in 20th and this one-point gap means they are just outside of the drop zone. Nevertheless, with 29 goals conceded, they are the worst defensive side for those sitting outside of the relegation spots, but their 20 goals scored is the most inside the bottom half after Stockport County and Wimbledon netted 24 each.
