Match preview
18th and 13th are set to meet in League Two this weekend just one day before the World Cup commences as Walsall and Crawley Town battle at the Banks’s Stadium with the home side seven clear of Crawley in 18th.
Neither side have that much to boast about in the league this season in what has been another troublesome season for them both in League Two. On the other hand, Walsall did defeat League One’s Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 away from home in the FA Cup, before drawing with Carlisle United in League Two. As well as this, the club beat Rochdale and Harrogate Town, before a draw with Sutton United, meaning a six-game unbeaten run for them.
This does still leave the club on six wins, six draws and six losses so far in the league and also one point off breaking into the top 12 ahead of Stockport County.
As for Crawley, they are ahead of the bottom four relegation spots by four points, but they are already eight adrift of County in the top half. Moreover, the club have only won four games in the league this season, which is the fewest amount for those sitting outside of the bottom four. Crawley did defeat Barrow in League Two last weekend, which also ended a run of four games without a win
