The 2022 EFL play-offs commence with this League One clash, which is an all Buckinghamshire affair.
Wycombe Wanderers enjoyed their first, and so far only, season in the second-tier last year, so are targeting an immediate Championship return.
Sam Vokes opened the scoring before Jordan Obita netted a late winner at the Pirelli Stadium.
This actually means the Chairboys are unbeaten in 12 games so, despite being the lowest-ranked side in these play-offs, are in red hot form.
Milton Keynes Dons meanwhile finished six points clear of their cross-county rivals, only missing out on automatic promotion by a single point.
Liam Manning’s team demolished play-off hopefuls Plymouth Argyle 5-0 a Home Park on Saturday, with Scott Twine scoring four of them.
However, it wasn’t enough with the Dons settling for third place, a point adrift of Rotherham United.
MK have only lost two of their last 19 league games, but those back-to-back defeats to Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford in April proved costly.
Like Wycombe, Milton Keynes have only ever enjoyed one season of Championship football, their’s coming in 2015/16.
This’ll be their fifth play-off campaign since being controversially founded in 2004, falling at the semi-final stage each time.
Wycombe meanwhile won the League One play-offs just two years ago, meaning they’ve been successful in two of five EFL play-off campaigns.
With the second leg just three days away, who will claim a first leg advantage at Adams Park?

As ever, there is plenty of focus on 39 year old striker Adebayo Akinfenwa.
He will retire after these play-offs and, as a former AFC Wimbledon man, would surely love nothing more than to oust MK in this tie.
However, he’ll once again be on the bench with Sam Vokes, who famously scored for Wales in their Euro 2016 quarter-final, leading the line.
Daryl Horgan could continue in-behind, chosen over Sullay Kaikai.
Captain Joe Jacobson scored in both the semi-final and final as Wycombe were promoted in 2020, so will be hoping for more heroics.

Dean Lewington is MK Dons’ stalwart at the back; this’ll be his 883rd appearance, with his debut coming in April 2003 when the club were still Wimbledon.
Slightly younger is Conor Coventry who’s impressed this season on loan from West Ham United.
Meanwhile, Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott has scored nine goals this season, including five in his last ten.
He’ll continue to partner top-scorer Scott Twine in attack after his four-goal haul at Plymouth on Saturday.
Connor Wickham is the other option; Mohamed Eisa has missed the last three games due to injury.
