Match preview
Two sides in the midst of altogether contrasting trajectories are set to face off in a Championship showdown at The Hawthorns on Tuesday, November 1st.
A West Bromwich Albion outfit in nothing short of crisis will act as the hosts, in a crunch meeting with in-form Blackpool.
The Baggies, of course, have endured an utterly hellish campaign to date.
After stuttering to a mid-table finish last time out, they have since slipped off the pace in England’s 2nd tier in alarming fashion, en route to wins in just two of the club’s 17 outings thus far.
The latest of these came this past Saturday, when a home meeting with a Sheffield United outfit also struggling for form ultimately culminated in the Blades emerging on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline.
West Brom, as a result, sit dead bottom of the Championship table, three points from safety, and facing up to the very real possibility of relegation to League One.

Tuesday’s visitors to The Hawthorns, in turn, will no doubt fancy their chances of adding ever further to the woes of their upcoming hosts.
In total contrast to West Brom, Blackpool have looked much improved over the last couple of weeks.
The seasiders have clinched victory in three of their last five outings, the latter two of which gave rise to a total of six goals, at the expense of Preston North End and Coventry City.
Such stellar form has come in no small part thanks to the efforts of star attacker Jerry Yates, who, after bagging the winner at the Coventry Building Society Arena last time out, now stands as the Championship’s outright top goalscorer.
Blackpool, in turn, have climbed to 15th in the table in England’s 2nd division, five points clear of the relegation zone.
In the knowledge that another three-point haul could guide them into the top half come the close of play on Wednesday, Michael Appleton’s men will no doubt be confident in their chances of adding to the woes of a sorry West Brom side at The Hawthorns.
And we at 101 are backing Tuesday’s visitors, when all is said and done, to manage exactly that.
