Our recommended bet for Saturday’s clash at the DW Stadium comes in the form of a draw between Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield Town.

A £10 wager for such an outcome will secure you a return of £30 with Betway.

Match preview

Two sides in the thick of the battle against relegation from the Championship are set to lock horns at the DW Stadium on Saturday, February 11th.

The matchup in question will see Wigan Athletic act as hosts, in a meeting with Huddersfield Town.

Beginning with the former, Wigan, of course, are currently propping up the table in England’s 2nd tier.

The Latics, all told, are winless across ten outings since returning to action on the back of the World Cup break in December.

Such woes have culminated in Wigan being condemned to basement dweller status in the Championship table, looking in ever-increasing danger of a return to League One.

And yet, despite such long-standing struggles, a rare victory this weekend would actually guide Shaun Maloney’s troops clear of their upcoming opponents in the standings.

This comes with Huddersfield Town also in the thick of the battle against the drop as things stand.

Like Wigan, Huddersfield have found positive results altogether difficult to come by of late.

Since the turn of the year, the Terriers have come up short in efforts to secure victory on six successive occasions across all competitions.

Such dismal form has seen what looked set to be a climb towards safety brought firmly to a halt, culminating in head coach Mark Fotheringham being sent on his way earlier this week.

The incoming Narcis Pelach, in turn, will be desperate to get his spell on the Huddersfield bench up and running courtesy of a morale-boosting three-point haul.

Safe to say, then, that the importance of the eventual outcome at the DW Stadium this Saturday afternoon cannot be overstated.

With both sides fresh off draws in two of their last three, though, we at 101 view an eventual sharing of the spoils as the most likely outcome upon the final whistle bringing a close to what is no doubt set to prove a tense 90 minutes.
