Match preview

For the third Friday night in a row, Celta de Vigo are in action, seeking to climb away from the drop zone.

A week ago, Jørgen Strand Larsen’s equaliser helped O Celtiña hold Villarreal to a 1-1 draw at Balaídos.

This means Carlos Carvalhal’s side are now unbeaten in four matches, although three of these have been draws, their only win coming since 2 October against the league’s bottom side Elche.

All of this leaves Celta Vigo 16th, but they would move all the way up to 12th with a victory in the Balearic Islands.

RCD Mallorca meantime are enjoying mid-table serenity, sat tenth, albeit a mere six points clear of danger.

Javier Aguirre’s side were beaten at El Sadar by Osasuna on Saturday but, at home, have won each of their last two, both 1-0.
