It’s one of the biggest games of the season for both Lille and Rennes as they scrap it out at the Stade Pierre Mauroy with the home side in seventh after a topsy-turvy run of form with Rennes moving into third after another win.

Lille beat Lens themselves earlier in October, and with the club also beating Strasbourg 3-0 and Monaco 4-3, Paulo Fonseca can be pleased with the run of form ahead of the World Cup break. On the other hand, by losing to Lyon, the club have dropped into seventh.
Jonathan David remains the main man for Lille, and he now has nine goals in 13 games and is only being outscored by Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, while his nine efforts meaning two more goals than Lionel Messi.
