Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to swiftly move on from their French Cup defeat to Marseille with the Ligue 1 leaders facing off with their old foes Monaco who now sit fourth in the table with eyes on the Champions League spots.
Monaco have seriously turned their form around in recent weeks and reignited their hopes of getting back into Europe’s elite competition as a result. They are now fourth and behind Lens in third by just two points. In fact, with this said, if Lens and Marseille are in a title race, so are Monaco.
The club edged past Auxerre in their first February outing, just before they eased past Clermont Foot in a 2-0 away win. A draw with Marseille and Lorient in January, plus wins over Ajaccio and Brest mean an unbeaten 2023 so far for the club.
As for PSG, Sergio Ramos netted another goal in midweek against Marseille during the French Cup, but his goal and their three shots on target was not enough to edge through to the last eight.
Nevertheless, they are still four clear at the top but are sweating on the fitness of both Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi ahead of this one.
