Mallorca have already beaten Espanyol twice this season, both at Son Moix, 1-0 in the league and 2-1 in the Copa del Rey. However, Mallorca haven’t beaten them in Catalonia in four visits, dating back to 2011. In fact, they’ve won just three of their last 39 away La Liga games.

Espanyol to win and under 2.5 goals is 10/3.

Can Mallorca keep themselves above the relegation zone?

So, the side from the Balearic Islands start the weekend 16th, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Can they claim three invaluable points and end their losing streak?

Fellow newly-promoted club RCD Espanyol have no such relegation concerns as they sit 12th, seven points better off than their visitors.

Blanquiazules though could only draw with bottom of the table Levante at Estadi Ciutat de València last weekend, despite taking the lead through Javi Puado.

The week before, Vicente Moreno’s side beat Getafe 2-0 at home which was a crucial victory because it was their first since New Years’ Eve.

Espanyol could be without first-choice goalkeeper Diego López for this one after the 40 year old was substituted against Levante.

If he’s not back, Joan García will deputise between the sticks.

Further forward, Raúl de Tomás is the obvious goal threat having scored 13 times in La Liga this season.

R.D.T. will be supported by Sergi Darder Yangel Herrera and Tonny Vilhena in attack.

Vedat Muriqi made an instant impact at Mallorca, scoring in two of his first three appearances, but he has failed to net in four games since.

However, the Kosovo international striker will continue to lead the line, alongside Ángel.

Likewise, the rest of the team is likely to remain similar because, despite losing five on the bounce, Luis García Plaza isn’t one for sweeping changes.
