Match preview

It’s arguably the biggest game of the season for Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United down in the bottom five of the Premier League table with only one point keeping the two apart ahead of the clash at Molineux.

Wovles are right now the side down in the relegation zone, however, although Julen Lopetegui has lifted the club off the foot of the table with just one loss in the league since he took to the helm.

Manchester Unite edged past them in a 1-0 win in that defeat, with the club beating Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park in the dying embers of the game just before drawing 1-1 with Aston Villa in a Midlands derby.

Wolves were knocked out of the EFL Cup quarter-finals in their last outing, losing to Nottingham Forest on penalties just after a 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup – the two will meet in a replay next Tuesday.

As for West Ham, despite being a point above the relegation-sitting Wolves, they are only above Everton in 18th on goals difference. In fact, even then, the Hammers have conceded the same amount (24) and sit above the Toffees by scoring 15 goals compared to their 14.

David Moyes men did, however, edge past Brentford in the FA Cup away from home last week.
