The French league leaders are back in action this weekend after a poor run of form in all competitions sees Paris Saint-Germain struggling to fight on all three fronts ahead of the visit of the 2020/21 champions Lille.
After a 2-1 loss to Marseille in the French Cup, PSG are already out of the country’s top domestic competition. Now, they are also heading into this clash with Lille in Paris having lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich at home after former youth star, Kinglsey Coman, scored against them in the Champions League once more.
The champions were also smashed 3-1 by Monaco last weekend in the league, as 16-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery scored again to carry on his record-breaking form at such a young age.
As for Lille, they are up into fifth right now in the league after a 1-0 win over Strasbourg pushed them onto a three-game unbeaten run. In fact, only Lyon via penalties in the cup and a 1-0 loss to Nice in Ligue 1 is all the club have to deal with since the World Cup.
After arguably the club’s worst run of form in 2022/23, PSG will be happy with only a win this weekend.
