Match preview

Will Paris Saint-Germain remain on course to win yet another Coupe de France?

In the previous round, Hugo Ekitike, Carlos Soler and Bernat were on target as PSG overcame third-tier LB Châteauroux.

Les Rouge-et-Bleu are the record 14-times winners of this competition, featuring in seven successive finals, winning six, before being ousted by Nice in last season’s round of 16.

Right now though, Christophe Galtier’s team are not in good form, beaten by Stade Rennais at Roazhon Park on Sunday night.

PSG have now lost both away Ligue 1 games since the winter break, meaning they’re now only three points clear of second-placed Lens.

Even so, les Parisiens should still easily prevail in this Monday night tie.

They beat Chaumontois and Drancy in early round, the latter on penalties, before also prevailing in a shootout against Wasquehal last weekend.

As Pays de Cassel’s regular home stadium does not meet FFF requirements, this tie will take place at Lens’ Stade Bollaert-Delelis, a venue at which PSG were beaten as recently as New Year’s Day.

This time, Paris Saint-Germain should run riot against the Régional 1 club.
