Liverpool have already completed the signing of attacking midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton this month for a fee of £35m.
But with the Reds midfield a problem area in 2022/23 and several players leaving the club on free transfers, a second arrival in that position is expected.
One of the main names linked of late has been Nice star, Khephren Thuram.
The Reds identified the son of France legend Lilian as a top target and Football Transfers had been reporting that the 22-year-old has told Nice he wants to move to Anfield and has already verbally agreed personal terms. The same report added that Nice will likely sell below the initial £51m asking price but want suitors such as Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain to arrive at the negotiating table to drum up the sale price.
However, The Athletic then claimed earlier this week that Liverpool had dismissed speculation that they have already agreed personal terms with the player’s representatives.
Now, French outlet L’Equipe have claimed that Khephren Thuram is attracted to Liverpool’s project and is open to moving to Anfield in this transfer window.
