La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have opened negotiations over the signature of an out-of-favour member of the defensive setup at Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.
For those who may have missed it, Sociedad have taken their place front and centre in the English media headlines over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the powers that be at Anoeta had kicked into gear discussions with their counterparts at Premier League giants Manchester United.
After David Silva’s decision to retire was made official, La Real have been left with little choice but to dip into the transfer market for midfield reinforcements.
And forgotten Red Devils man Donny van de Beek, it would appear, sits atop the wishlist of Imanol and co.

Negotiations are ongoing but still no agreement on formula of the deal and personal terms. Talks continue.

As alluded to above, though, Sociedad’s Premier League shopping spree may not come to an end there.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, ‘Real Sociedad have genuine interest in Sergio Reguilon, he’s one of the options as new left back’.
Talks, in turn, have been kicked into gear with Daniel Levy and the transfer team at Spurs, albeit with it noted that, as of yet, the deal is ‘not advanced’.
