Inter Milan shot-stopper Andre Onana was heavily linked with Chelsea as a replacement for the seemingly outbound Edouard Mendy
However, reports on Sunday claimed that Chelsea have now ended their interest in the Inter Milan goalkeeper.
This has left Manchester United in the driver’s seat when it comes to pursuing the keeper.
Erik ten Hag knows the player well from his time at Ajax and he is much better with the ball at his feet than United’s current no.1, David de Gea.
Now, Gianluca Di Marzio has taken to Twitter to claim that Onana’s agent, Albert Botines, is currently in Manchester to ‘explore conditions’ for a deal with the Red Devils.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport also claim Botines is in Manchester to ‘understand’ if United will make an ‘important’ offer for his client.
As a result, the Manchester outfit do not intend to spend over €30m plus bonuses on a goalkeeper. However, Inter value at Onana at around €60m.
