Liverpool’s interest in a key member of the midfield setup at Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion has been reiterated late on Thursday evening.
The player in question? Alexis Mac Allister.
The name of engine room standout Mac Allister has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Merseyside across the week to date.
This comes amid widespread suggestions that the Argentine has been earmarked as a leading summer target on the part of the powers that be at Liverpool.
Amid plans to overhaul the club’s ailing midfield, Mac Allister – fresh off playing a starring role for Argentina en route to World Cup glory – is viewed as both a viable and potentially game-changing addition.

In turn, late on Thursday, updates on the Reds’ pursuit, by way of no fewer than three outlets, have come to the fore online.
The Telegraph have confirmed that a Liverpool offer is as good as imminent, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Jurgen Klopp and co. want to move ‘fast’ to clinch an agreement with their Brighton counterparts, whilst, finally, Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo suggests that ‘everything indicates’ Mac Allister will ultimately end up a Reds player ahead of next season.
