An insight into the staggering financial terms of the contract understood to have been signed by Kylian Mbappe in Paris this summer has been provided on Sunday.

The name of superstar Mbappe has of course found its way back into the headlines in a major way over the course of the last fortnight.

This comes on the back of a series of bombshell reports coming to the fore in France.

After rejecting the opportunity to depart the Parc des Princes in favour of staying put over the summer, it has been widely claimed that Mbappe has since become disillusioned with life in Paris.

Citing broken promises regarding both his role and teammates, the 23-year-old was therefore said to have set his sights firmly on a move away, potentially as early as January.

Mbappe himself has since swiftly moved to such down any such speculation, but, as alluded to above, the prolific attacker has nevertheless been cast back into the spotlight once more on Sunday evening.

This comes with the alleged details of the contract extension signed by PSG’s star man having now been revealed.

And, safe to say, they are nothing short of ludicrous.

The story comes courtesy of French outlet Le Parisien, regarded as altogether reliable when it comes to ongoings at the Parc des Princes.

In turn, they have pointed towards the following terms as having been agreed upon between Mbappe and PSG:

A base salary of €72m-per-year

A signing bonus of €180m, to be paid in three instalments.

A rising loyalty bonus, to be paid after the close of each summer window – €70m, rising to €80m, and then €90m in the case of Mbappe taking up his option to remain for a further season.

This, all told, comes to an eye-watering total figure in the region of €630 million.
