Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has been linked with a move away from the club this summer and a report from the Mirror claims that the 29-year-old Spanish international could be sold this summer after the signing of Josko Gvardiol.
It is added that the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa are monitoring the 29-year-old’s situation at Manchester City and they could look to make a move for him.
Laporte joined Man City for £57 million from Athletic Bilbao but he could be available for a fee of around £30 million this summer.
Laporte to Arsenal does make some sense as Mikel Arteta currently only has Gabriel as a left-footed centre-back option.
The Spanish manager is also not shy about playing centre-backs at full-back, and Laporte has shown for Man City he is more than capable of plying his trade at left-back.
However, Arsenal already have two natural left-backs and after the signing of Jurrien Timber from Ajax, they have strong cover in the centre of their defence as well.
