Any and all suitors of AC Milan star Rafael Leao have, on Friday, been dealt a decisive blow.
This comes owing to confirmation that the explosive attacker has committed his future to Milan, by way of a new long-term contract.
The subject of Leao’s situation at San Siro has, of course, long taken its place front and centre in the media headlines.
This came as the reigning Serie A Player of the Year continued to knock back the efforts of the powers that be in Lombardy to tie him down to fresh terms.
Such a stance on Leao’s part, in turn, gave rise to inevitable outside interest, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid having all been named as keen on the gifted winger’s services over the course of the season to date.

As alluded to above, though, late on Friday, such clubs have seen their chances of landing Leao dealt a definitive blow.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, has since provided an insight into some of the finer terms of Leao’s contract.
The Portuguese’s new terms at San Siro are centered around wages of €5 million-per-year, with the potential to rise to €7 million.
Milan’s position has also been strengthened by the inclusion of a hefty €175 million release clause.
