Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has told talkSPORT that Harry Kane would be a bargain at £100m and if Arsenal were not rivals with Tottenham, they would be writing a cheque.
He added that Arsenal need a player like Harry Kane and if the Englishman was plying his trade for the Gunners last season, they would have won the Premier League.
The Peterborough chairman said: “He’s a bargain at £100 million for any top-four side. Let’s be honest, if there wasn’t such a rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal, Arsenal would be writing a cheque.
“Stan Kroenke and his son mean business, they’re winning titles all over the world with all their franchises. Arsenal need a Kane.
“If Kane was in Arsenal’s team, that title race would now go the other way – it would be Arsenal winning the league.”
Arsenal have already spent around £200m on three top players this summer but none of them are centre-forwards.
