Alfonso Davies has predicted Jamal Musiala to win the Ballon D’or in the future after he was, in the view of the Canadian, robbed of the Kopa trophy for U21 stars.
Barcelona teen Gavi scooped the award ahead of Eduardo Camavinga, with Musiala coming in third place at the awards ceremony on Monday evening.
It was a result that Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann took issue with, telling the press that “in my eyes, Jamal Musiala, as well as Jude Bellingham, have played a better season than Gavi.”
Gavi made his Spain debut in the Autumn of 2021, and started 28 La Liga games last campaign, but it was one ultimately of disappointment for Barcelona as they crashed out of the Champions League and then the Europa League, as well as finishing a distant second in the Spanish top flight.
Meanwhile, Musiala helped Bayern through the Champions League group stages, and has started this season in fantastic form, grabbing five goals and five assists in 10 Bundesliga outings.

And the result was clearly something that fellow youngster Alfonso Davies took issue with, as the Canadian took to Twitter to predict a Ballon D’or win in the future of the young German.

Musiala leads a new exciting crop of talent that includes the likes of Camavinga, Bellingham, Gavi and Bukayo Saka as well as the already superstar talents of Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.
Without the dual freakish athletes in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Ballon D’Or could become a much tighter race in the years to come.
