Reports last month claimed Arsenal are maintaining a watching brief on Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as they want a centre-back amid concerns over William Saliba’s long-term fitness while Rob Holding’s contract is up next year.
Now, Crystal Palace, according to Ben Jacobs, want £60m to sell Marc Guehi this summer following transfer rumours linking him with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal.
Guehi joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021 after impressing on loan in the Championship with Swansea City.
Guehi has since made 82 appearances in all competitions for the Eagles, with his impressive form seeing him earn four caps for England since March of 2022.
£60m is a high price-tag, but Guehi is still only 22 years of age and is proven in the English top-flight.
Should Arsenal stump up the money required for Guehi’s signature, he would likely become a rotating option with Gabriel and William Saliba, whilst Rob Holding would become surplus to requirements.
