A remarkable story centering on Ghana star Andre Ayew has come to the fore late on Saturday evening.
Ayew, a little over 24 hours ago, took centre stage, as his nation were sent packing from the World Cup at the group stage.
This came owing to a two-goal defeat at the hands of Uruguay.
Hitman Ayew, for his part, was afforded the opportunity to put Ghana in front inside 20 minutes at the Al Janoub Stadium, only to fluff his lines from the penalty spot.

It nevertheless came as a surprise, though, when word was forthcoming that both the former Swansea City and West Ham United star, and brother Jordan, had been hooked at half-time.
But, late tonight, as alluded to above, an explanation for as much has been provided.
As per French outlet RMC Sport, after seeing her father’s effort from 12 yards saved, Ayew’s daughter fainted in the stands at the Al Janoub Stadiu,
After being informed of the news at the interval, both Ayew brothers, in turn, opted to depart for the nearby hospital to which Andre’s daughter had been taken.
Thankfully, upon arrival, they were met with positive news, as the 7-year-old was in both better health, and spirits.
