Arsenal and Chelsea could be yet more active on transfer deadline day as transfer target Ibrahima Bamba has handed in a transfer request on social media from current club Vitoria de Guimarães.
The midfielder has been the subject of speculation for much of January, with Arsenal heavily linked with a move for the young Italian, though they have since agreed a deal to sign his compatriot Jorginho from Chelsea.
And the Blues themselves are also locked in negotiations with Benfica for Enzo Fernandez, with Rui Costa and co. demanding that Chelsea pay the full release clause (120m euros) for a deal to happen in the dying hours of transfer deadline day.
As a result, they too have been linked with a move for 20-year-old Bamba, who has made 17 appearances in the Portuguese top flight so far this season. Now, it appears as though the youngster has attempted to take the transfer into his own hands, deleting all images related to his current club from his instagram and posting cryptic messages on his social media.
“He who laughs best laughs last” and “Life is made up of choices” appear to be demands to leave the club this window.
Ibrahima Bamba is attempting to force his transfer out of Vitória de Guimarães on the final day of the window.
He’s removed all pictures of Vitória and stopped following the club on IG and has published: “He who laughs best laughs last” and “Life is made up of choices.” pic.twitter.com/6KQjh6nxpW

It is thought that he could be available for as little as £8m, a relative drop in the ocean for Premier League clubs this winter, though he could find his options narrowing should Arsenal, as expected, finalise their deal for Jorginho.
