Inter Miami have actually won their last two meetings with New England, including a 3-2 victory just three weeks ago. The Herons also won 1-0 in Foxborough last November, the day the Revs lifted the Supporters’ Shield.

When these two last met in Massachusetts in November, New England Revolution were presented with the Supporters’ Shield.

Well, this year, the Revs have already lost five of eight MLS matches, so sit 13th in the Eastern Conference, only above bottom of the table Cincinnati on goal difference.

Last weekend, New England faced then bottom of the east D.C. United at Audi Field but were beaten 3-2.

Brandon Bye opened the scoring in Washington, only for D.C. to score thrice in just 17 minutes; Adam Buksa’s late header unable to salvage a point.

So, the Revolution have lost six of their last seven matches in all competition, only narrowly beating expansion club Charlotte FC in this period.

In contrast, Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami are flying.

Last weekend, Phil Neville’s side came from behind to beat Atlanta United 2-1 in Fort Lauderdale.

Leonardo Campana with a spectacular turn and finish to equalise before, Bryce Duke tapped home the go-ahead goal, set up by in form Campana.

This means the Herons have now won three successive games, following victories over New England and then Seattle.

As a result, Inter Miami are now ninth in the east, aiming for a fifth consecutive win in all competition for the first time in club history.
