The latest comments on the part of Tottenham Hotspur assistant manager Cristian Stellini are no doubt set to go down a treat with the club’s fanbase.
This comes after the Italian hinted that Antonio Conte has every intention of staying put in north London for the long-term.
The subject of the oft-controversial Conte’s future, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the English media headlines for several weeks now.
This comes after the former Juventus and Chelsea boss’ public criticism of Spurs’ board culminated in suggestions that Conte is seeking out an imminent exit.

The aforementioned Stellini, though, today moved to play down such chatter.
Taking his place in front of the media after Conte was excused owing to the passing of friend and former teammate Gianluca Vialli, Tottenham’s assistant boss assured that the club’s coaching staff ‘are confident to stay here a long time’:
“Fifteen months is not a big period. We are in the way we expect after 15 months. For that reason we are in confidence.
“We are in the right moment after 15 months, if we compare our period to other periods in the past. We are in a good moment. We have to work. Like Antonio has said many times, we need passion and heart in the work. It’s not the time of the contract that decides. Your behaviour is the work you do to decide the result.
“We are confident to stay here a long time because we are working hard and the players follow us.”
“We are confident of staying here a long time.”
Cristian Stellini indicates Antonio Conte WILL stick around at Spurs despite contract wrangling.
