Germany and Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger has been forced to call a premature end to his latest stint with the former, it has been confirmed on Saturday.
Stopper Rudiger, as expected, was afforded a call-up by his country, for a pair of Nations League meetings with Hungary and England over this month.
The ex-Chelsea standout, in turn, featured from the off on Friday, as Die Mannschaft were condemned to a shock defeat at the hands of Hungary.
This result means that Hansi Flick’s men will need to secure all three points at the expense of England on Monday night, if they are to stand any hope of a top-2 finish in the Nations League A Group 3 table.
Any such efforts on the part of the Germans, though, as alluded to above, will come sans the services of star defender Rudiger.
This comes after the 29-year-old departed the country’s camp prematurely this afternoon.
Whilst Nmecha’s departure comes owing to injury, though, those of a Real Madrid persuasion fearful of a similar situation when it comes to Rudiger need not fret.
This comes with the summer arrival at the Bernabeu, instead, having simply picked up a suspension.
