A report from Turkish-Football and The Guardian writer Emre Sarigul earlier in June claimed Arsenal contacted the family of Fenerbache wonderkid Arda Guler, who represent the player, over a potential summer move.
Guler is a product of Fenerbache’s youth system and has already notched 49 appearances for their senior side, with his showings earning him the title of the ‘Turkish Lionel Messi’.
33 of those outings came in the 2022/23 campaign, where he scored six goals and provided six assists.
Guler is an attacking midfielder by trade, so if he signed for Arsenal, he could provide some cover for Martin Odegaard, though Fabio Vieira also does that at present.
The two-time capped Turkish international is capable of playing on the right-wing, doing so 17 times this past season. As a result, he can rotate with Bukayo Saka if needed.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arda Guler will be now available for just €17.5m as his release clause will be activated after playing 1500 minutes for his current side.
