Mykhaylo Mudryk was of interest to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, with the Gunners eyeing reinforcements out wide following the loan of Nicola Pepe to Nice.
Arsenal currently have just Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka as natural wide options, though Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Jesus can also operate on the flank if needed.
And after Arsenal could not land Mudryk in the summer, it looks as though the Gunners will not have to pay even more if they want to sign the winger.
Arsenal have been one of the teams linked with Mudryk in recent times by Calciomercato, and if they decide to go back in for him, Romano says it could cost them as much as €65m now.
“I continue to enjoy watching the development of Mykhaylo Mudryk – his performances in the Champions League this season have been amazing!” Romano wrote.
“He’s a player whose value has most likely shot up since the summer. Shakhtar Donetsk wanted around €50m for him in August, probably €40m plus add-ons were enough.
Mudryk is a product of Shakhtar’s youth system and became a regular feature for their senior side last campaign.
The 21-year-old has featured 35 times for the Ukrainian outfit, scoring five and assisting 16 in the process. He was also handed his Ukraine debut in June of 2022 and has so far notched five appearances for his country.
