For some time, it looked as though Arsenal would pip Manchester City to the Premier League title.

However, the Gunners drew games vs Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton before then losing to City themselves.

This has seen Manchester City climb above Arsenal in the Premier League table and still have a game in hand.

Whilst the title is not completely gone just yet, Arsenal’s chances of winning it this year are very, very slim.

Now, the north Londoners have been told where they must improve this summer in order to compete with the Sky Blues next year.

Ex-Gunners striker Kevin Campbell believes Mikel Arteta needs reinforcements in almost every area of the pitch having seen the squad so far come up short in the title race with Man City:

“You need a full squad. I think this is why Arsenal have struggled a little bit of late, where you can’t freshen things up.

“You look at Man City, they can. They can play a so-called weakened team in the semi-finals of an FA Cup. Look at the players they left out to rest for the game against Arsenal. That’s what a quality squad can do.

“Arsenal have got to try to get to those levels. I’d like to see a new centre forward come in. A couple of central midfielders to help with rotation. At centre half, Arsenal don’t have the same depth as Man City.”
