According to Calciomercatoweb, Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio in January, but face stiff competition from Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus.
The 26-year-old’s future has been the subject of much speculation over recent weeks, with a number of clubs thought to be interested in signing him. Asensio, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, has yet to sign a new deal with Los Blancos and could move to the Premier League for free next season.
Next up, Mykhaylo Mudryk has sparked speculation around his future transfer destination by admitting that he would prefer a move to Arsenal over Real Madrid if it meant he would be a regular starter at his potential new club.
As cited by the Metro, he said, “From a purely hypothetical perspective if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal.”
Finally, according to Inter Live, Arsenal are interested in signing Hakan Calhanoglu in 2023. Per the source, the 74-cap Turkish international’s creative ‘armoury’ could prompt ‘some rich clubs’ to compete for his signature, with the Gunners and fellow Premier League rivals Aston Villa especially mentioned.
The report adds that Calhanoglu could be sold if an offer of around €30m arrives
