Arsenal and Tottenham are two of the sides interested in Bundesliga star Edmond Tapsoba ahead of the summer transfer window, with the two north London sides set to go head-to-head to land the centre back.
Both are in need of defensive reinforcements, with all of Davinson Sanchez, Joe Rodon, Clement Lenglet, Ben Davies and Japhet Tanganga facing uncertain futures at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, while the same can be said for Rob Holding at Arsenal.
The north London rivals have sent scouts to watch Tapsoba in recent weeks, with the 24-year-old having impressed under Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

The Burkina Faso international has racked up 31 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, and was an everpresent in his side’s Europa League run until they were knocked out by Roma in the semi finals of the competition, even contributing a goal and an assist.
Comfortable on either side of defence, he is thought to be attracting plenty of Premier League attention, but is by no means the only player on Arsenal’s radar, with fellow Bundesliga star Mohamed Simakan also highly rated by the Gunners.
However, there is a catch. As per the report, ‘Bayer will only sell for huge bid’, which could see the 24 year old forced to stay in Germany for another season.
