Ilkay Gundogan is out of contract with the Sky Blues at the end of this month and has been tipped for an Etihad exit.
Gundogan has cemented a reputation as a big-game player in the last few years, most recently netting twice to win Man City the FA Cup final, helping the Citizens wrap up their first-ever proper treble.
Some reports have speculated Man City want to keep him at the club beyond this season.
Elsewhere, FC Barcelona, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund – his former club – have been linked with a transfer.
Gundogan then quashed rumours of a return to Dortmund earlier this week while on international duty with Germany, seemingly leaving a two-horse race between Arsenal and Barca.
Now though, reports on Wednesday have emerged regarding the future of the 32-year-old. It is claimed Ilkay Gundogan is set to join Barcelona, with the player to undergo a medical on Wednesday afternoon ahead of signing a two-year deal.
