A report from Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that Real Madrid could look to sell Ferland Mendy for a fee of around €60m at the end of the season and clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United are keen on signing the player.

Manchester City and Arsenal are pretty much guaranteed to secure Champions League qualification next season and they are likely to be more attractive options for the player.

However, Newcastle have the financial resources to compete with any club in the world now and are also still in with a great shot at finishing inside the top-four.

They began Sunday just three points off 3rd place Manchester United and two points off 4th place Tottenham with two games in hand.

As for Mendy, he would improve all three off the aforementioned sides.

Kieran Tierney’s future at the Emirates has been called into question following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko and the Scotsman will need to be replaced if he is sold in the summer.
