Barcelona president Joan Laporta has, on Saturday, provided an insight into the club’s plans for the winter transfer window.
The subject of fresh faces has of course taken its place front and centre at the Camp Nou across the early months of the season to date.
This comes after the Blaugrana, despite a host of widely-publicised financial issues, spent big on the additions of the likes of Jules Kounde, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
Linking up with the Catalans on free transfers, meanwhile, were all of Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alonso.
And such signings, in turn, have since guided Barca back into the thick of the title race in Spain’s top-flight.

On the continent, however, it has proven an altogether different story.
And, evidently, the powers that be in Catalunya are of the opinion that this comes owing to remaining holes in the club’s squad.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, the aforementioned Joan Laporta was drawn on Barcelona’s plans for the fast-approaching January transfer window.
And the Spanish patron went on confirm that the Blaugrana hierarchy have every intention of dipping back into the market for further reinforcements:
