Barcelona president Joan Laporta has, on Sunday, provided an insight into the club’s ongoing efforts to land Fenerbahce sensation Arda Guler.
For those not aware, the name of midfielder Guler has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.
This comes amid widespread claims that he has been placed atop the summer wishlist of the powers that be at La Liga champions Barcelona.
Guler, for his part, is a gifted attacking midfielder, widely considered to be one of the finest talents in not only Turkey, but all of Europe.
The starlet is fresh off a breakout campaign in his home country, which saw him rack up six goals and seven assists in 35 appearances, despite, remarkably, having only turned 18 back in February.

Guler is a fully established senior international, too, boasting a solitary goal across four appearances in Turkey colours.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Blaugrana chief Joan Laporta was, in turn, asked for a fresh insight into Guler’s potential Camp Nou switch.
And the Spaniard went on to confirm that the Spanish giants are indeed ‘talking to Fenerbache’, on the back of a long-term scouting mission.
Laporta was also keen to highlight the fact, though, that ‘all the top European clubs want him’.
