Premier League leaders Arsenal have, on Friday evening, discovered the extent of their punishment for a disorderly conduct charge during a recent meeting with Newcastle United.
The charge in question came about on the back of a goalless stalemate on January 3rd, which left many of a Gunners persuasion feeling as though their side had been altogether hard done by.
The hosts at the Emirates Stadium saw a number of penalty appeals waved away by referee Andy Madley, and VAR alike.
Arteta’s stars, in turn, made their frustrations very much known, amid a tense atmosphere in north London.
Evidently, though, it was subsequently decided that the protests of the capital outfit’s players, late on, were taken too far.
In turn, confirmation was forthcoming this day last week that Arsenal had been charged by the FA for ‘failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in orderly fashion’.

And now, as alluded to above, the punishment facing the powers that be in north London has too been made official.
After Arsenal admitted to the FA’s charge, they will be forced to pay out a £40,000 fine.
This comes owing to a direct breach of Rule E20.1.
