A series of updates on the future of Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele have come to the fore on Sunday evening.
And the news will come as a major source of concern for all of those hopeful of the explosive wide-man ultimately staying put in Catalunya.
The name of French international Dembele, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the European headlines over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the powers that be at French giants Paris Saint-Germain are ready to take advantage of a temporary €50 million release clause in the 26-year-old’s contract, to bring Dembele to the Parc des Princes.
Barca, for their part, had previously remained untroubled by such news, amid the widespread understanding that the player himself had no intention of departing the Camp Nou.
If the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday evening is anything to go by, however, then panic now appears to be setting in at the La Liga champions.
In fact, with the French international understood to have had a change of heart when it comes to his future, some outlets have gone as far as to claim that Barca have all but given up hope of Dembele staying put:

Xavi Hernandez and Mateu Alemany are continuing in late efforts to convince Dembele to reconsider, but with the Blaugrana’s latest contract renewal offer having come up a hefty €6 million+ short, an imminent divorce between the parties is beginning to look a near inevitability.
🚨 BREAKING: Barcelona’s renewal proposal doesn’t satisfy Dembélé. He demands €6m-€7m more. This is not acceptable for Barça. They’ve given the Frenchman up for lost, although Mateu and Xavi still try to convince him. @FCBRAC1
